Dimitar Ivanov Berbatov ( , -mkdiˈmitər bɛrˈbatɔf) (born 30 January 1981) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a forward for English Premier League club Manchester United. He captained the Bulgarian national team from 2006 to 2010, and is its all-time leading goalscorer and has also won the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year a record seven times, surpassing the number of wins by Hristo Stoichkov.

Born in Blagoevgrad, Berbatov started out with home-town club Pirin Blagoevgrad before joining CSKA Sofia as a 17-year-old in 1998. He was signed by Bayer Leverkusen of Germany in January 2001 and played in his first Champions League final 18 months later, coming on as a substitute in the 2002 UEFA Champions League Final, which Leverkusen lost 2 – 1 to Real Madrid. After five-and-a-half years with Leverkusen, he joined English club Tottenham Hotspur in July 2006, where he spent two years before moving to Manchester United. He played in his second Champions League final in 2009, during his side's 2 – 0 defeat against FC Barcelona. Berbatov is the first non-Englishman in Premier League history to have scored five goals in a single match, having done so in Manchester United's 7 – 1 win over Blackburn Rovers in November 2010.

FATV - Official match highlights from the The FA Community Shield 2010 with FA Cup winners Manchester United beating Premier League Champions Chelsea 3-1. Sir Alex Ferguson was pleased to see a number of key players get match practice at Wembley and said his side deserved to beat Chelsea 3-1 to lift The FA Community Shield sponsored by McDonald's. United made it a record 14th Shield success as goals from Antonio Valencia, new signing Javier Hernandez (Chicharito the Little Pea) and Dimitar Berbatov were enough to see of Carlo Ancelotti's Blues. Salomon Kalou did pull a goal back for Chelsea to make it 2-1, but United were more clinical where it mattered. But it wasn't just the result that made Ferguson happy. Chelsea: Hilario, Paulo Ferreira (Bruma 79), Ivanovic, Terry, Cole (Zhirkov 79), Essien, Lampard, Mikel (Drogba 60), Kalou, Anelka (Sturridge 60), Malouda (Benayoun 72). Subs Not Used: Turnbull, Van Aanholt. Goals: Kalou 83. Sunday, 9 January 2011 Man Utd v Liverpool, R3, 13:30 Steven Gerrard was sent off as Ryan Giggs's second-minute penalty proved enough to send Manchester United into the fourth round of the FA Cup, ruining Kenny Dalglish's emotional return as Liverpool manager. The tie was barely 30 seconds old when Daniel Agger was adjudged to have fouled Dimitar Berbatov in the box and Giggs converted the spot-kick with ease. Liverpool responded well, but their hopes of a comeback were hit hard when Gerrard was shown the red card for diving in rashly on Michael Carrick just after the half-hour mark. Despite a spirited effort that offered encouragement to the 9000 visiting fans, only a succession of fine saves by Pepe Reina kept the game alive until the end. Roy Hodgson's departure on Saturday had offered Dalglish the opportunity to renew his old rivalry with Sir Alex Ferguson and added extra spice to an already enticing encounter but, 20 years on from his last spell in charge of the Merseysiders, he could not inspire an instant improvement in their fortunes in his first game back in the dug-out. Dalglish will have easier games in which to make his mark than this one between now and the end of the season.

This is all my own work, enjoy. It is my first ever video & I've been learning along the way how to video edit with sony vegas while making this video, there were many many problems & this took me a looooooong long time to make, most people will never be able to begin to imagine the time and effort I put into this. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy, always tryng to run before I can walk :/ . What I lack in technical know how, I hope I make up for in concept and pure imagination that seasoned effects cannot outshine. This is not just a football video but my own creative art, so I understand I can't please everyone. If you just want random clips with music over them then this aint for you. Lastly, no I am not saying Dimitar is the next Cantona, cantona was unique in terms of persona & presence on the pitch, but you can't deny the similarities in terms of style & manner in which dimitar entertains the crowd with effortless beautiful skills & genius. He IMO is the federer of football, only in terms of subtle beauty and touches on the ball.

Video featuring Dimitar Berbatov of Manchester United, showing goals, skills and much more :) My first video since my old account was deleted, if you like this video please subscribe. Speculation surrounded a potential move in 2004 for the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year, but it was May 2006, when Berbatov finally joined Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of €16m,[7] (£10.9 million).[8] making him the most expensive Bulgarian player in history. After being granted a work permit, the transfer was completed, and Berbatov joined Tottenham on 1 July 2006. He scored two goals in two minutes in his first match as a Tottenham player against Birmingham City in a pre-season friendly match.[9] Berbatov scored his first competitive Tottenham goal 2 minutes into his home debut in the Premiership game against Sheffield United at White Hart Lane. He built up a rewarding partnership with Robbie Keane in the UEFA Cup until Spurs' departure to Seville in the quarter-finals, and, despite Martin Jol's rotation of his strikers, Berbatov firmly established himself as the first choice forward at the club. He scored five goals in four games during the group stage of the UEFA Cup, with his performances earning two man-of-the-match awards in the group stages against Besiktas and Club Brugge. Despite his good form in European competition, Berbatov took a while to adapt to the Premiership. However, he soon began to regain the league form he had shown at Leverkusen with an excellent ...
